Here at Heart of Balm we formulate our products in small batch quantities made more frequently with our own ingredients. The benefit of producing skincare this way is a fresher, more potent product. It also gives us the ability to trade harsh chemicals for clean and safe, natural preservatives. Lead time can be 1 to 3 days based on the order — many products are made fresh and may require a little extra drying time and prep.
Grass-fed tallow is a nutrient-rich animal fat rendered from the fat of cows that have been exclusively fed grass, which ensures a higher concentration of beneficial nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and vitamins A, D, E, and K. Rendering tallow involves slowly melting down the fat at low temperatures to preserve its natural qualities. By hand-rendering our own tallow, we ensure the utmost control over quality and purity in every product.
Using sustainable ingredients and packaging is our key approach to reducing environmental impact.
